Hey friends,
I have some really exciting news to share with you all...I was just contacted by one of my buddies from school.. She runs her own school and she is holding a summer workshop and wants me to conduct the craft classes for her.. I am just soo excited.. This is my first time so any suggestions would be helpful.. I am just soo nervous.. Feels like sitting for my first board exam all over again...
I have to teach 3 age groups..
7-10,
10-12
12 and above..
Just really excited.. Have a lot of ideas running through my mind but any help will be deeply appreciated.. I want to make it a regular affair..
Hugs,
Khush

Dear Khushboo, My daughter [4and1/2]and niece[9] went to a summer camp recently so I will suggest some things which the older kids can do
1. Box making and decorating[origami techniques or template based]
2.Simple origmai - a ball[ waterbomb],pinwheel, animals are all exciting for the kids
3.Mseal art- tough for little fingers but would be right for the older ones
4.Iris folding- vary the designs and simplicity according to the age and interest[boy /girl]
5.Beading- my niece brought home a simple beaded keychain from her camp
6.Quilling- no need for tools use a tooth pick fitted on the end of an old sketch pen as handle. Quilled decorations and pendants are novelties for kids
7. Kirigami cards with simple snowflake designs
If I think of more will let you know
All the best
Sonia

Congrats! So happy for you...
Follow the Less is More formula - keep it simple and have lots of fun. You could visit some YouTube sites for kid's crafts.
Enjoy it,
Monica
PS: My girls and I are down with flu so my brains cells are not very active at the moment. But I am sure you will get there... do recycled crafts as well.
