Just some chit chat!!

hey guys,

How has everyone been?? I have just returned from a fabulous trip to Agra, Mathura, Girirajji and Vrindavan.. It was awesome.. Seeing the Taj Mahal in reality was a humbling experience.. A flawless beauty which truly is a symbol of love... I am still stumped by it to be honest..

Isn't it totally grand...!!!

And here I am standing in front of the Taj holding Angel in my arms.. She slept right as we entered the main premises of the Taj and got up as soon as we entering the Taj Mahal to view the tombs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah jehan...Smart chick she is...

On another good news.. The ICR swaps are now live again and back in action... received my swap from Gopi while I was away on holiday.. It is a bling swap and she sent me some amazing bling.. Here goes the pic...

Love the 3 petal-shaped bling she sent me.. Thanks a  ton Gopi...

One some more news.. There is a new swap station in town.. Swap Central India being conducted by the 3 stooges, namely Saumya Mohanty, Tejal Mehta-Shah and your very own Me... Hope to see you guys participate.. This swap station would be different as we would be focusing on swapping finished handmade products rather supplies.. Mind you.. not ruling out swaps of supplies too.. Just keep your eyes on the blog to keep yourself updated.. Would appreciate to see lots of participation...You can check all the blog here.

On another note.. My dear dear Senior Stooge *wink* tejal is having a 300 post candy... Check details here.. Don't go just for the candy.. Browse her blog and be ready to be stunned with some amazing creations.. Congratulations Tee...

I think I've covered all I had to say.. Will see you soon with some work to share.. Till then happy crafting and have a great weekend...

Happy Birthday Buddy!!

Hey friends,

My last post before I leave for my holiday to Rajasthan and Agra... It's a birthday card for a friend made on order.. I absolutely am in love with this fold.. It's a 6-fold card and it's final measurement is 6*6.. As you all are very much aware, I love making big cards so am always in search of tutorials which can give me bigger dimensions or I sit and calculate ( the latter takes ages as I suck in Mathematics BIG TIME).. Being a gift to a girl, I went all out to make a PINK card.. Yea, you guessed it right.. I am back in the PINK MODE... and some green too.. Will post the green cards after I come back.. :D

So enough of rambling.. I shall get straight to the card...

I love love this digi from the paper shelter.... Now a view of the card after it opens up in its full glory and then of course the individual shots... I really need to start working on the whole video thing... My posts are getting way too picture heavy... :D

Now I'll quickly just show the individual panels....

The card as it looks after IT'S belly band is removed...Isn't the PP gorgeous.. My heart broke while using this.. (sob sob)

I've embellished it to the minimum as I really wanted to show off the gorgeous PPs in all honesty...So just a sentiment...

Another panel showing off some sentiments...

The bear with the heart on a panel which would open up vertically.. :-)

Friend sentiments... Love you buddies... :D

Just jazzed up the polka dotted PP with a sentiment stamp.. :)

Bling attack part 1.. I missed doing up rhinestone frames so am doing it on this panel and the one that follows... :)

Happy Birthday Wallet!!

Hey friends,

How is everyone doing? Blog land has been fairly quiet recently except the few names which regularly pop-up.. Guess everyone's got their plates full..!!

I was recently working on a very special project.. A photo wallet.. Had been meaning to try it since I had seen the tute on YouTube.. Had fallen in love with it completely.. So without wasting anytime.. I got out my supplies and started working on it.. It took me ages to complete this one.. Probably because I was confused on what color schemes to use...  Once the color schemes worked to my liking.. The embellishing drove me nuts... In the two albums I've made and posted I realized that embellishing an album is NOT easy.. At least for me... Any way's I've rambled enough.. I'll just go ahead and show you the photo wallet..

BEWARE: A LOT OF PICTURES.. Picture heavy is a mild term for it.. :D ( And I apologize for the shadows on the pictures.. The sun was SETTING and I just had to click the pics then because it was going to the recipient the next day)

The front cover of the Photo wallet

The view after the front panels open up

Individual shots of the panels.. This opens up to the top...Made a pocket to hold some hand cut tags....

 The bottom panel...

This panel I have made a pocket note card and stuck it...

This is a photo insert.. The flap opens up.. You would see it more clearly in the next pic...

This insert is the left panel of the photo wallet after the top panels have opened up....Now the right panel...

Another photo insert.. This one is pulled out of the belly band!!

This is the lower panel... The sentiment tag was used as a buffer for the pic.. It slid into the empty space easily....

The lacy circle held a picture... Thanks for the lacy Circle Tee... :D

Another panel which holds a Gatefold card....And it opens up to look like... THIS

Personally this is one my favorite panels.. Just like how everything came in place in this one...This holds tags for journaling...

The opposite panel  is a photo insert...

This opens up to hold the photo insert and it looks like THIS

and the next.. ( are you guys tired?? ).. Just a bit more to go.. :D

This space is just for writing some mush... Everyone loves writing some mush right?

This is another panel for a photo insert....

And finally the base center which is left behind after all the panels open up...

The very popular petal flower envelope which opens up to look like this... :D...

This is the end of the photo wallet.. Now I shall tell you the supplies.. One by one.. :D That is another huge ask.. Phew!! I am genuinely sorry for the awful photographs.. They are even worse than what I normally click.. :-|

The CS's used are all Either Fabriabo or locally bought and I consumed a lot of my scraps...
PPs used:- This photo wallet was a huge drain on my PP reserve.. Well papers belong to some scrapbooking kits I've picked up from Phuket and Hobby Ideas Plus Echo Park Little girl plus some single sheet 12x12 paper available at Hobby Ideas and a few were a RAK from P
Embellishments are all from stash and some are stickers from EP.. So are the journaling tags.. The Lacy circle die cuts were a RAK from T, and so were those pink gorgeous felt blooms... The butterfly a RAK from A...The border punch is EK Success and the sentiment cards are from Itsy Bitsy
Stamp=> Penny Black Paint the town red inked using Unity Noir and colored using Glaze pens now available at lulupu...
The digi was a freebie I picked up somewhere.. The flowers used are from Itsy bitsy and the flower centres are done up using Pie Lane flowers, crystals and leaves.. Even used Pie Lane butterflies...

I just hope I haven't missed anything... The recipient loved it.. And I was thoroughly pleased with that.. This took a lot of time and effort and the smile was worth it...

Scrappy Swap...!!

Hey Peeps,

How is Saturday coming along.. Kolkata weather at the moment is AWESOME.. All cloudy and chilly.. Am totally loving the weather.. The drawback of it though is that I do not feel like crafting at the moment even though I have a lot of ideas going through my mind...

Recently I took part in a scrappy swap organized by Saumya.. And lucky me, my partner was Saumya herself.. She sent me some real cool stuff.. Just thought would share it with you guys...

Saumya sent me a lot of variety.. Now am thinking of ways on how to use them up.. Thanks Somu.. *big hug*

Hugs,
Khush

Love you Mum!!

Hi Guys,

My next post for lulupu is up and running.. You can check it out here... Leaving you with a sneak peek of my project... Hope to see you over at the lulupu blog...

Happy Birthday Girl Friend...!!

Hi guys,

Am back with another card.. Made an exploding box on request by my cousin's friend.. Wanted to gift it to his girl friend for his birthday only cause she was angry with him.. men I tell you.. totally insensitive when it comes to a woman's needs.. :D

I won't ramble too much.. Just show you all the layers and panels... Am just too tired to type.. been on a crafting spree with trying new new things.. it's fun.. :D

This is the lid with the sentiment...

The box after it explodes open.. (Kindly ignore my feet in the picture.. I suck at taking pics)...

The four panels on the bottom layer.. Posting pics at one go...

These four panels form the base layer.. Ample space for writing ( which I only will have to do>. *sigh*)

The second layer Is full of tags and the guy is SUPPOSED to write romantic mush on it (I hope his girl understands his hand writing)...

And the top most layer...

I've just embellished the top layer using peel offs and sentiment stickers...

This card gave me a lot of satisfaction not in terms of execution but for the fact that I crafted full time after ages for long hours to complete this as I had just one day to do it and I am happy with the result...

Supplies used:-
Cardstock=> Local buy
PPs:-Grace Taylor Vintage Collection, Hobby Ideas, Scrapboking kit picked up from Hobby ideas and Scrapbooking kit picked up from Phuket.. So a variety of places for my PPs
Embellishments=> Ribbons flowers on top are a local buy, Itsy Bitsy sentiments and flowers, Peels offs from Hobby Ideas.. Sentiment stickers courtesy Saumya..The A and S were traced using Itsy Bitsy Alphas and then done with Pie Lane chunky Glitter.. I love Pie Lane.. :D.. That's from the supply side folks..
Digi sentiment from Birdcards
