Our very own ICR has just crossed hundred members and over 1000 pictures in it's gallery.. Kudos to Ash and Tejal for all the hard work they put in.. Liek I have been cribbing in my last few posts.. The Mojo has gone mad and erratic.. comes to be in spurts.. I have an idea in mind but when I try to execute it, it goes KAPUT... Hate it... grrr...
Anyways last night I sat down with much determination to make the card... and as usual I had to use some DHIN-CHAK colours.. I love bright colours.. Makes me feel good about myself and life in general...
Anyways, Here is my card...
I used a baby blue Fabriano Elle Erre card stock and lots of my scraps through which i ran my Fiskars sunburst punch to give the layered look at the bottom. The scalloped circles were first traced and then hand cut and a digi sentiment has been placed on top it.. I do not remember where I got it from.. In case someone does know please inform me so that I can give credit to the designer for it... Distressed them with Hobby Ideas inks ( my substitute till I get some distress inks for myself).. The blue PP is from an old wedding card.. Have had it in my stash for ages.. I hand cut the banners and wrote the word PARTY using Pie Lane glitter balls (black).
A close -up of the banner
I am entering this card for the following challenges:
ICRC9=> celebrations + No rubber/digi stamping except for sentiment
Yvonne's guest challenge=> Creating layers with Melissa O' Neill
Crafty Anne's=> Scallop and/or fancy borders
The Pixie Cottage=> Happy Birthday
A spoon full of sugar=> Happy Birthday
Thank you so much for dropping by.. Your comments are highly valuable.. Till next time... Happy Crafting...
Hugs,
Khush
