Hello...!!

I am back after a long time with a card that I have made and not some RAK..My last few posts have been all about RAKs...and it has been a super week...And what an awesome birthday.. Never did imagine that it would be so cool...!! SO thank you everyone once again for all your wishes...

I got up really early today and wanted to make a card... My nephews got me pinwheels yesterday so thought of making a card with a pinwheel... Got online.. searched some tutorials and then realized I had the OWH page bookmarked with the pinwheel tutorial.. you can check it out here.

Here is my card...!!

This card has come out the way I like.. Cheered em up no end.. Birthday was so awesome and felt like making a bright cheerful card, hence, the colours...!!

There is not much to say about this card... I took a yellow fabriano elle erre 12*12 sheet and make a 6 by 8 card.. it is a huge card.. Layered on four panels using blue and red card stock and did some faux stitching on all four panels...!!

Used a yellow cardstock on which I did faux stitching with red gel pen and stuck a pin wheel made of Studio Calico papers which I bought from Ujjwal and topped it with a Pie Lane wooden button...I did the corners with flat pearls from my stash..

The die cut on which the sentiment is placed is from Kavi.. I traced it out onto a yellow card stock.. stamped it with Unity Stamp Just wanted to say using the Noir Stamp pad of the same brand.. The sentiment is from a mini stamp I won in a giveaway which is inked with French Lilac Unity Ink pad.. And blinged it up with rhine stones from my stash...!!

 I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Here is the ICR Sketch

Comments are highly valuable.. Has helped me improved immensely so thank you everyone who has dropped by my blog.. See you with a new post soon.. Till then Happy Crafting...

Window Card

The current challenge for ICR is awesome... For the very first time we have a sketch challenge and it was a fantastic sketch and like all ICR challenges it has a twist.. the twist this time being that we had to incorporate stitching in our projects-real or faux..
Have a look at the sketch first...

My card is not inspired by one but two cards.. the first being Tejal's DT card for this challenge and Karuna's card which you can see here. This was the first time I had seen a window card in real and I think it looked wow.. Tejal's card just upped the ante and the wow factor or me...

Here is my card...!!

and now the insides:

There is nothing much to say about this card.. I did some second generation stamping( sounds so cool when you use such awesome technical jargon and I feel so learned all of a sudden.. LOL) on the outside with faux stitching all around.. Inside I did the cloud thing with clouds cut out from paper and then using some really cheap Hobby Ideas stamps and sponge to give that cloudy effect.. I like it what say you guys to it.

The rest are as below:
Cardstock=> Fabriano Elle Erre
Digi Image=> Precious moment coloring page found from the web and then cut to size and colored with my Steadler water colour pencils
I made that nice red frame using my quilling strips.. I try and avoid cutting as much as I can.. :D
I did the stamping from a mini stamp I won at Holley's giveaway using Moulin Rouge inkpad from Unity which I had purchased from Ujjwal.
The PP used to make the curtains and the scallop top is from Studio Calico again bought from Ujjwal.
The inside I already told you how I did the clouds.. Besides that the green patch is made from fabriano sheets and at the bottom I have stamped some stick like grass and flower are from the MICIA stamp set purchased from karuna's store.
The sentiment is from Erum's blog and have cut it using my very reliant design scissors and done some faux stitching around it too.. :-)

I am entering this for the following challenges:
ICRC8=> Sketch +stitching(faux or real)
Fab 'n" Funky=> Friendship
CraftyJc Challenge#8=> Friends are forever
Paper Creations Ink=> Stitching
Paper Sundaes=>Clouds and Skies

Yours comments and highly valued and appreciated.. Happy Crafting guys...
