Birthday exploding box!

Hi guys,

Happy Sunday... What plans for the day?? I am gonna relax.. I have been breaking my back over a lot of orders... Phew..!!

I made an exploding box on custom order for the client's fiance.. It was really challenging.. Male card.. not my forte.. I somehow always have an urge to add pink, flowers, butterflies, bling, etc.. Mind you though.. I did add flowers.. Lots of it.. *grin*

Exploding boxes are a superb way to either showcase pictures or just keep writing mush.. Some people (including me) love writing a lot of mush.. It's just a way to express our feelings.. Aren't our handmade cards supposed to do just that...

Anyways... Enough of rambling.. here goes... I really need to learn how to do a  video... all my posts are now becoming way too picture heavy....

the top view

the side view

the box after exploding it it"s full glory
bottom layer side 1.. used die cuts and petal shaped envelope

bottom panel side 2.. die cuts and tag pockets with tag

panel 2 side 1 using cir die cuts and pocket note cards

Panel 2 side 2.. Circle die cuts and 4*4 note cards...

last panel side 1- die cuts and tri-fold card

last panel side 2- die cuts and tri-fold card

open view of panel 3 side1

the cake.. Ta daa!! totally inspired by the beauties karuna comes up with

the cake on the card

That's the entire card for you.. Way too many pictures I know.. I promise to try a video the next time.. I hope the recipient and my customer both like it.. Personally.. I love the cake and the box really explodes.. I wish I could show it to you guys in a video, the way the flaps fall...

Thats a lovely one. The whole point of attempting a box card is scary.......so many panels to embellish. I have two of them incomplete not knowing what next to do.

But then you have done a fabulous job....
