Hey guys,
Back with another post.. I have been having a great time crafting lately.. The ideas are plenty and thankfully being able to execute them as I want to.. :).. The feeling is totally euphoric.. I used to get really annoyed when my ideas wouldn't translate onto paper..
I made a scallop circle easel card.. Have seen everyone around me try it and I was skeptical trying it out because- well I don't have a die-cutting machine and I would have had to hand-cut it and that was preventing me from trying it out.. Yesterday I let go all my inhibitions.. Took out my trusted scissors and got on with the job.. :)
This is what I came up with.. :D
I should have taken a closer shot of the card standing.. Nonetheless.. This should suffice for the moment.. it's a green card.. I have a penchant for unusual color mood swings.. I scare my own self when it comes to my color choices.. Vintage has been on my mind lately but I am not a vintagy person so I am not letting it take over my brain.. :D
A few more shots of the card... The first of it lying flat.. :)
Now a close-up of the image..
A close up of the simple sentiment... :)
Here it is.. A sweet, simple and must say a small and compact card.. I used to wonder at the size of the circle easel cards when I saw them being made by others... After making one for myself I realized it's really small and compact.. There is not much room to go over board with your embellishment.. I like more room to go about doing my embellishing and this was a real test for me as I was left with no space at all after I placed the digi.. :).. But super fun card to make.. :)
Supplies:-
beige Card stock locally purchased, Brustro for stamping the sentiment and layered on a Fabriano orange cardstock scrap

Digi=> The paper shelter
Brown gem stones from stash
Pie Lane butterflies
Sentiment=> Fiskars make a wish purchased from Imaginations online
Ink=> Memento Lady Bug purchased from imaginations online.

What a lovely card and that image is adorable, well done on making the shape without a die cutting machine.

I don't think I could do what you did without a machine. I am not that great at cutting with scissors. You made a really cute card and you are to be commended for taking it on. Good for you!!!
