multi-fold note cards day #1=> Easel cards

Hello everyone,

The last swap at swap central India saw up swapping multi-fold notecards, 4 cards of each of 5 different folds and each card had to be different.

To say it was a mammoth task would be an understatement. I wasted so many card stocks and finally one fine day, the brain started working and then there was no stopping it.

I will be posting each fold as a separate post instead of making one big post. This way I will also have things regularly being updated on my blog.. LOL

Today I will be sharing my easel cards with you.. I absolutely love making easel cards. They are just so versatile and there are endless possibilities as to how you can incorporate different elements to do up your easel cards.

I tried all the various types and wasting enough paper to realize that it is best to keep it simple...

So without further rambling, here goes...

I love the ric-rac in rainbow colors... I did add pearls to the punched card stock on the base later on so they are not here. Added them as an after thought.
Supplies used:-
Card stock=> white 300 gsm paper locally purchased and fabriano scraps for die-cutting
Polka dotted Washi tape on the border
PTI ric-rac die. Spell binders floral ovals for the oval cut
MS 3-1 butterfly punch and Deco shells
Bling from stash.

Finally understanding the concept of the use of negative space, love the outcome of this card. Looks like the giraffe is peeking inside a window.. :D

Suppleis Used:-
card stock=> Locally purchased
Digi was found on Pinterest
negative space of floral ovals die
Black pearls RAK from Spardha (Thanks girlie)
MS doily lace punch
Staedler water color pencils for coloring.

Lots of stamping and some fussy cutting on this easel card.

Supplies used:-
Card stpck=> Locally purchased and fabriano elle erre
stamps=> recollections love bird and HA Playful Animals
Inks=> Unity Noir and Memento
Itsy Bitsy boutique flower inked using tea dye distress Ink

This one if my favorite of the lot. Love the heat embossed vellum butterfly against all that black and pink.

Supplies:-
Card stock=> Locally purchased
Darice interlocking circles embossing folder from Priya's store
Spell binders heart circle die
HA antique engravings stamp set
Versamark embossing ink
zing white embossing power from crafters corner

Super Duper Cute...

Heylo,

I am back after a teeny weeny break.. Actually it was no break at all.. Was just busy with the exhibition... Had a great time and got a good response to my work.. People appreciated my work and whoever dropped by the stall did pick up something or the other so that kept me happy... On hind sight I don't think I would have been able to put up a decent stall without the help of the following wonderful ladies- Karuna, Tejal, Shruti, Piyu, Priya and Spardha.. Thank you guys.. Your help was truly truly appreciated....

I have made quite a few cards and will keep posting them one by one.. This one's a twisted easel card which is huge in dimension.. It's an 8*8 card... :D... On request on someone really dear to me...

My card  is based on the CPS Sketch#137.. I have just inverted the sketch.. Or should I say I had made it correctly but I had stuck the panel wrong *embarrassed blush*.. So to my benefit I just turned.. Works well as it is.. easy peasy... :P

The square panel... :-)

The sentiment.. :D

And the very cute Betsy Bluebell from Penny Black

Isn't she absolutely adorable... I love the betsy bluebell stamps.. :-)... They are the cutest ever... Anyway enough of rambling...

I have a used a pearl finish pink card stock.. My latest buy from the local market.. It is thick and has the most amazing shine to it....3 PPs have been used on the front panel.. The top one is from a DCWV stack and the bottom one from Grace Taylor Vintage collection both bought from Karuna... And the centre one was a RAK from Tejal.. The bottom PP is also part of the RAK from Tejal...The punched are Ek Success punch... The scallop circle has been traced and hand cut on a so-called card stock which was a RAK from Shruti..Did some faux stitching around the scallop circle.. The image is Penny Black Betsy Bluebell... Colored her using my Staedler water color pencils... The flowers have been punched and embossed with a Pie Lane button for centre.. Those cutie top flowers on the left are also from Pie Lane... Thanks Sri.. The sentiment is a digi I picked up from somewhere.. the pink and black rhinestones are from my stash... :-)
Yepp, the only things I used... LOL...

Easel Card

Hey friends,

Bright and sunny Sunday and am off for a movie.. Excited as it'll be me watching.. a movie after ages.. Almost 5-6 months.. :-| ... I made an easel card... This is my second easel card ever... And by far the smallest card I have ever made... :D.. Usually all my cards are pretty big...

Easel cards are fun to make because there is just so much you can innovate and do with them.. This one is kept fairly simple as it was customized for a friend who wants to give it to his Fiance and c'mon all of us have to agree that max guys go weak in their knees when it comes to selecting a card for their better halves so he judiciously left the decision on me.. :P....

Anyways, take a look at the easel card... It's PINK again.. :-|.. I am besotted with this color.. I need to change and move onto other colors.. Maybe a dark blue.. :-)

:D.. I just love this cutie girl.. I could use it anytime...

You can see the view outside my window... :D.... and of course the shadows being created by dear SUN... *wink*

The sentiment...

The card stock is baby pink in colour which I bought from my local stationers... the square also has a pink card stock.. over it is a Polka dotted PP which was a RAK from A... The super die cut frame was a RAK from P... The image is from a MICIA stamp set which I had purchased from the Crafting Queen Store...Quilled flowers are handmade by me.. That cutie bird is from Itsy bitsy... On the base, I have used a PP which was bought from Hobby Ideas.. The sentiment is a digi printout from E.. Did some faux stitching around the die cut sentiment which by the way has been traced and hand cut... Those blue shiny flowers are from Itsy Bitsy again.. Colored the image using my ever faithful Steadler water color pencils...

I am entering this card for the following challenges=>
