Washi + stamping = Pure bliss

Happy Saturday everyone,

What plans for the weekend? I intend to now devote all my time for planning my niece's first birthday bash.. Time flies and she will be a year old already... I made a quickie card yest using my very favorite Washi tapes and some stamping... Absolutely love the outcome and I am totally in love with my CAS phase.. To imagine I was clueless as to what CAS would entail and now my last few posts have all been CAS!!

This card also has butterflies.. I seem to have a lot of these butterfly stamps in my stash.. And they are just so versatile.. You can use butterflies just for any occasion.. :D

This card has been going on in my mind for quite sometime... The colors, the LO all was done in rough.. All I had to do was execute it on paper... I did it in 9 minutes flat... I love the fact that these cards can be produced in mass and for different occasions.. All I need to do is change the sentiment.. LOL

Supplies:-
White fabriano card stock
Washi tape
Butterfly is from MME lost & found set and the sentiment is from Fiskars lasting love
Inks-memento danube blue and lilac posies and the orange one from MICIA, black from unity.

Entering this card for the following challenges:-
For the love of crafting=> CAS
Ruby's Rainbow=> butterflies
YCU=> Hot Trends ( I used Washi tapes)

Thanks for dropping by... Have a fantastic weekend..

With love!

Happy Independence Day everyone,

Today we celebrate our 65th independence day and it is just such an awesome feeling. While patriotism isn't always on the forefront but listening to the national anthem today is absolutely awesome.. I get teary for some reason.

I have a quick card to share with you which I made using Washi Tape.. yes I am absolutely in love with it and you would probably see some more projects with it.. :D... This is a simple card assembled really quickly but I was unsure of it as I felt something was lacking. I wanted a ribbon but irrespective of having tons of ribbons I never find the color I want for my projects. *sigh*

Anyways, let me show you the card.

This is the card lying flat

I love the brightness of the card stock against the subtle tones of the washi and the sentiment ink, voila I found a perfect color.. LOL!!

Faux stitching
