An experiment with paper and more

Hey guys,

How is everyone doing?? Hope everyone is enjoying the heat. Yep, I am being sarcastic.. This nasty heat wave has taken a toll on me..I feel lethargic all the time and even though my mind is flooded with ideas, I have no real enthusiasm to get up and craft.. Even the air conditioner is not providing any relief..

Sharing today is my fist DT post for the Imaginations Blog. Imaginations has now started it's monthly challenges and it would be great if you would join along. There are prizes to be won of course.

So when were asked to use Distress Inks on our projects, I was really excited for I absolutely love my Distress Inks. They are the most magical and versatile thing ever. ( I say that for most of my craft supplies).

I was just browsing through my phone and this idea for a wall hanging got fixated on my head.. Everything on this project is done from scratch and I love it. My husband was mighty impressed with it. Sat down with me to give me inputs on placements and colour schemes. Actually everyone in the house was involved for this one- right from my MIL to my SIL.. :D.. What can I say, I have a super cool supportive family and everyone has a creative side.

So now that I have rambled enough, let me show you the pictures of my wall hanging..

This is right now hanging on the speed regulator of my fan.. LOL.. Yet to find a good place to click pictures of my projects in the new house. The hunt is on..

Now a few close up shots of a few elements...

A play of colours below the sentiment, die cuts to form a kind of branched out look and the super gorgeous Prima dolls.

Antique Engravings butterfly stacked together to give it a 3-D look..

Scallop scare die cuts for writing your own personal message

When I was making this I had two people in my mind- Tejal and Saumya.. The butterflies remind me of her and this doll of Saumya. My two friends who kick my butt ALWAYS so that I improve myself and I love them to bits for it.. Good friends are difficult to find and I have the best. :D

The orientation of the scored wall is wrong or so you might feel. I had scored it right but husband dearest wanted me to do it the opposite way. Who am I to deny him. So it happened this way.
