i love my friends

Well,

Can someone please tell me how to come up with good blog post titles.. I suck at them and hate to be receptive...(work can be repetitive but not blog titles.. :P)

So I am impatient and have to share this card I made yesterday.. Just for fun and no order and it was so cool...(BTW this is my second post for the day, you can check the first one here.)

This card is made following a tute shared by Priya of the craft shop.. She now knows my recent obsession with stamping and was kind enough to share a few tutes with me.. Thanks Priya.. I found this idea so cool.. Might not be new, might not be extraordinary but I totally loved it.. Why.. First time and took me a lot of time to give it the look I wanted.. So after wasting several sheets of paper with my various color experiments, I finally managed it with brown.. I popped up the sentiment up on dimensional to give it a raised look and to highlight the tiles in the background

This tutorial I followed can be found here. So without further ado, Here is my card.

the card standing

the card lying flat

Isn't this cool.. Love the tile effect and I tried different combinations too.. i tired with purple using my fav leafy vine set.. I tried with the flower BG stamp but it wasn't stamping properly for some reason.. So finally I took up this combination..

Supplies sued:-
card stock=> Fabriano Elle erre and Brustro
Stamps=> Hero Arts friend definition from Crafters Corner and Fiskars friendship quotes from Jo
Inks=> Memeento Rich cocoa from Crafters Corner and Vintage photo distress Ink from Khyati
Mulberry rose was an RAK from Jo
Black gel pen for faux stitching.

Entering it for the following challenegs:-
For the love of crafting=>Monochromatic
Crazy 4 challenges=> No pattern paper
Aud sentiments challenge=> Sentiment with friend
Delightful challenges=> Celebrating friendship

Thanks for dropping by... Will see you soon with some more fun experiments using techniques..

Hugs,
Khush

I love shades of brown!! Enough said!! This looks superb!!

In case you are interested, Try this combo - Rich Cocoa and Desert sand on Cream CS! You will love the effect. Also, distress using Antique Lenin & Tea Dye.. All four put together are my absolute favourite combo!! Give it a try and let me know how it turned out! :)
