Bhagwat Invites

Hello,

I know I have been MIA for over a month now.. I have been breaking my back over an order and took a tumble the next I finished it.. yea I know.. I am clumsy and falling is apparently my birthright.. But.. Good news.. No plaster... Woo Hoo...!!

So I had a 250 invite order for the Shrimadbhagwat katha happening at a relative's place... What is this katha (sermon) all about.. It basically talks about all the avatar's of Vishnu (the creator in Hindu Mythology) and is a huge celebration.. It's like a mini Indian wedding.. A lot of prep goes into doing it...

Now the relatives wanted something different from the usual printed stuff and what better way to go different than going handmade... So I made a deconstructed 6-fold card... I have changed a few elements of it... :D

SO here goes...!!

   The card lying flat

                                                                           The card standing

                                                                             Inside view-1

I had a lot of fun making these because this was the first time I was making traditional... Every element on this card symbolises Vishnu... :-)...
